I am Sallyanne Morrison, the Director and Principal Optometrist of Morrison's Family Eye Care Centre. After gaining my Bachelor of Optometry degree from the University of NSW with Honours, I worked for a few years in a Paediatric Eye Clinic in Perth Western Australia. Being born, bred and educated in Dubbo, the lure to return to NSW and be closer to my family was too great. In 1992 I started my own Eye Clinic in Dubbo, where I have been providing eye tests ever since and I still love what I do.
My professional Optometric interests are in prescribing and problem solving all the issues associated with contact lens wear. I also really enjoy assessing and treating children's vision problems. I have recently completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Ocular Therapeutics. This course allows me to not only diagnose, but to treat anterior eye conditions such as conjunctivitis, removal of foreign bodies and objects from eyes, corneal ulcers and in-growing eye lashes.
In my spare time I keenly enjoy trying to keep active with a walk. I spend most of my time 'taxi-ing' my children to their various sports; I enjoy spending quiet time around our home with my family and our menagerie of pets. They keep me grounded and young at hear
My name is Sharon and I am an Optometrist at Morrison's Family Eyecare Centre. Although I grew up in Sydney, during my 4th year of study I undertook a placement which inspired and motivated me to work in a rural community. Upon completing my Bachelor of Optometry with Honours from the University of New South Wales in 2017, I relocated to Dubbo to work at Morrison's Family Eye Care.
My professional optometric interests include Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration, two of the major causes of vision loss in Australia. Being a therapeutically-endorsed optometrist means I am fully qualified to not only diagnose but also prescribe and treat many eye conditions including Glaucoma, Uveitis and Conjunctivitis. I also regularly attend accredited seminars throughout Australia which allow me to keep up to date with the most recent advances in eye care.
In my spare time I enjoy catching up with friends, watching movies and baking. I also like to keep fit by playing badminton, a sport which I used to play competitively at a state and national level.
I am grateful to be part of such an incredible team here at Morrison's and I look forward to continuing my role as a medical professional in Dubbo.
My name is Lucy and my optometric journey began when I received my first pair of glasses at 5 years old. I had always wondered why my eyes saw the world differently to those around me. This curiosity lead me on the path to completing my Bachelor in Vision Science/Master of Optometry at Deakin University with therapeutic endorsement in 2018.
I recently completed 3 months of my clinical placement at Morrison’s Family Eye Centre. Having grown up in Melbourne, this was an eye opening rural experience. I realised that I enjoyed working and living within a rural community and Morrison’s has provided me with the opportunity to continue this.
I enjoy all aspects of optometry with particular interest in therapeutics, ocular pathology and paediatric eye care. I completed a further 3 months of clinical placement in Victoria focusing in paediatric eye care and found it very rewarding to be a part of their eye care journey. Prior to this I completed placement at the Australia College of Optometry which exposed me to a wide variety of ocular diseases such as glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration.
In my spare time I enjoy playing piano/guitar, exploring and spending time with those I care about.

When moving to Dubbo in 1995, I worked for Myer, where I enjoyed helping customers' choose the right outfit. I now have the same enjoyment when I am able to assist a patient in choosing the right frame and sunglasses. I love the industry as it offers' something new everyday.
In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, listen to music and reading books. My favourite sport is football (soccer).

I have had the opportunity to work in both regional and city areas which has broadened my knowledge of Optics and given me a key insight into the latest fashion and trends. I love helping customers select the perfect frame to reflect their own unique personal style.
Outside of work, my partner and I love to travel and attend as many gigs and music festivals as we possibly can.
I have been employed at Morrison's Family Eye Care since 2005. I have recently returned from maternity leave.
